I don't have a lot to say about this because there isn't anything to pick apart; this will be half a review. I was initially hesitant to even pick up the book because I am so tired of vampire stories. I heard good things about this one, but at one point I had it home from the library and it didn't look that interesting. I had too many books so I sent it back. It was only after seeing even more good things about it that I went back and looked at it again. I am so glad I did as the book was so goo ...more

I loved it. That's almost all that I need to say really. Right from the first page of this book I loved it. Cat was brilliant, and even her hangups were realistic. And Bones was probably my favourite vampire character that I have come across in my reading so far. I think I loved the fact that he was British (or sort of 'Australian', having been turned when he was a convict. Although his British accent and mannerisms didn't always ring completely true (being British Australian myself), they were ...more

#1 in the Night Huntress series

I can't believe I'm giving this high a rating to a vampire book, but I'm now a convert! I'd actually rate this 4.5 stars, if I could, but I'm rounding up because I enjoyed it so much. It's definitely a romance first, in my mind, and the fact that vampires and a half-vampire and ghouls are involved in the story just makes things more interesting and a lot more flexible. Kat was born after her mother was raped, so her mother is totally against the species now, teachi

This book is a mixture of Twilight and Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with a twist. I wasn’t sure what to think of this book when I initially began reading it. After a couple of chapters, the plot held my interest until the end. Cat is half human half vampire and is out to avenge her mother. Cat’s dad was a vampire and her mother a human so Cat assumes that all vampires are evil. Bones, a master vampire, happens to cross paths with Cat. Her hatred of vampires did not deter her from joining forces ...more

I love Cat & Bones! Cat is a small town girl who happens to be half-vampire, much to her mother's chagrin. She hunts vampires as a way to atone for her sin of birth and has a kill-now-ask-questions-never attitude to these evil creatures....Then she meets Bones. He's funny, smart, and sexy, and is a bounty hunter of vampires. The attraction is instant for both, though Cat fights it. But when she finally accepts who she is and what she wants....watch out world! These two are on the hunt! Can't wai ...more
