Light-hearted and fun. I enjoyed the first half very much. Daphne and Simon interacted well, their dialogue was amusing and I believed their growing attraction. I lost interest a bit when we got to the duel & married life because the humour and camaraderie died off, & tedium set in. I found Lady Whistledown’s exerpts more irritating & unnecessary the longer the book continued. It was entertaining at times and easy-reading.

The Duke and I differs from the show in that it exclusively focuses on Daphne and Simon. Which makes sense, as the 7 other books focus on the other Bridgerton siblings. While a wo
