This is book 1 in Robyn Carr’s Thunder Point Series. This is a very easy and fast contemporary read. The story doesn’t take time to develop but the action does. I felt that the slower pace was appropriate due to the storyline. I was riveted from the first page until the conclusion. I really liked how Ms. Carr wove Virgin River (another series) into the first chapter. This was only one name and one reference, but this reader immediately picked up on it.

This is a great start to another feel-good series by Robyn Carr. It's similar to Virgin River in that it's well written, with great characters, and a small-town feel. We follow the introduction of Cooper to the town, meeting Mac the sheriff's deputy, Gina the waitress at the local diner, Sarah a helicopter pilot for the Coast Guard, and Landon a teenager with some issues.
