I'm somewhat baffled about the popularity of this book, and why it's considered a true crime classic. The subject matter is, of course, fascinating, but the execution left a lot to be desired. The introduction & conclusion were interesting, but the middle - the trial portion - was dull and dry, and the author's arrogant and self-congratulatory tone really grated on me. ...more
