This was a really cute cozy mystery. Betts and her Grandmother own and operate a cooking school in the small Missouri town of Broken Rope. Strange things have always happened in Broken Rope--hangings, ghosts, buried treasure, etc. When Everett (Gram's good friend) is suddenly found dead in the school and Gram is arrested for the murder, Betts sets out to find the killer.

I've been wanting to start this series for forever and have owned the book for four years. I'm glad I started it and got to know the characters along with one very cool ghost that I can't wait until he shows up in another of the books. I just love Grams' and Jerome's characters, and they definitely made me want to read the next book.
