These are my thoughts while reading:

0.0% Finally doing a reread of this series in between other reads! :D I’ve missed this crazy lot and can’t wait to reread Indy and Lee's story (My first ever KA read!) :D :D I can’t really remember it due to it being over a year since I last read it! (WOW That long!) So excited to fall in love with the rock chick and hot bunch all over again! Especially Lee and Indy! So excited to start this tomorrow!

I loved this book...Indy comes to her best friend's brother for help when she and a friend are shot at. Lee Nightingale...yummy Alpha, ex-military and runs a PI/security/not sure what he does type of firm. Indy is hilarious and I so enjoyed seeing all the trouble she gets herself into and Lee gets her out of. This is the first book in the series and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series. Kristen Ashley has grabbed me again. ...more

#1 in the Rock Chick series

12/29/24 to 12/31/24 - 5 stars - This book hit the spot for me this time. Now that I've read all of the books in this series, I know Indy better and can understand her lifestyle, her fun personality, and her exuberance. She is an action girl (as she puts it), always on the lookout to keep busy, have adventures, and live life to the fullest. Often, these traits put her in danger (that could have been avoided) or embarrassing situations (which don't seem to bother her).

After reading so much great stuff about this author's books I had pretty high expectations and have to admit I'm rather dissapointed. Out of all the characters in this book I liked Tex most and vacilitated between laughing at and disliking the two main characters. I liked Lee more than Indy but struggled with both of them pretty much. Since it appears this was the author's debut novel and I already have Mystery Man on my Kindle I'll give this author another chance but don't expect much anymore a ...more

This is one of those books that several of my friends have been talking about, and I wanted to join in on the bandwagon. Actually, they have read several in the series so it is about time that I try to catch up. Indy Savage is a 30 year old rock hippie wanna be. Her dad is a former cop so she has been around the precinct and knows what to expect with criminals. She owns a used bookstore left to her by her eccentric grandmother. One of Indy’s employees, a quiet barista is caught stealing diamonds ...more

I thought this was cute overall. I didn't like the way the author generalized people by racial stereotypes at times, but I thought the main characters were good. It's a good start to series and I'm really interested in seeing the other characters get their stories. ...more
