So I finished this today and it was amazing. I loved it so much. This was the first book I've read from her and omg can't wait to read more. I don't even know what I was doing with my life not reading V.E. Schwab books.. Loved it and highly recommend it.

I love the concept of this book but the execution at least at the start was a little too fast for me... It not a fast-paced story but things were happening really fast with little to no explaination but once passed that starting 100 pages everything comes to places. I enjoyed the portrayal and discussion of morality and morally gray characters. It is really hard to pick a side to root but I find one character to root for and the writer was just hell-bent on killing him, teased twice but nothing

I'm a little torn here. I thought the story was great. And when I started the book, I was SUPER excited to get further into it. But I think real life got in the way, slowed me down, and sapped some of the pleasure. As with Warm Up, I also didn't love the narration.
With that being said, I will most definitely continued my 'Villians' journey. And I'm excited to delve into more by this author. ...more

This book was a lot of fun. I liked the overall story and the consequences of people's actions. The idea that when you mess with death and trying to become a superhero there are consequences. I would say this shows the worst that can happen and the parts of yourself you lose to be extraordinarily. The characters were fun and I liked how it showed their little quirks. I hope the squeal is okay as well.
