This turned out to be quite nice. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get around to reading it--it's been on my TBR for years. In any case, we follow Ann as she decides to go to Bora Bora during WWII, using her newly-minted nursing degree. She puts her engagement on hold, mostly because she's ready for adventure and wants to support her best friend.
