Book Number 1 in the Bill Hodges Trilogy, featuring retired Detective Bill Hodges in an unnamed Midwestern city. This was an excellent book. Thou it was not a typical Stephen King book because it was not way out there in no where land. It was a very good book and I found myself picturing being there as a character and would recommend this book to anyone that likes a detective type book.

Decent read but I know he can do far better. It was missing King’s complexity.
