I loved this book and it will most definitely not be the last book I read by Liane Moriarty!
I'm a fan of well written chick-lit with some substance and relatable characters and this one has it all in my opinion. The book made me laugh and it made me sad. I enjoyed how it shows that there's more to a person than just what you see.
The book touches upon some serious topics but it still feels like an easy and pleasant book to read.

This was exactly what I needed. Like watching a deliciously trashy soap opera, but better. Great characters, fantastic depiction of schoolyard politics and the way that things are almost never what they appear to be. It might not be highbrow literature, but man it was an enjoyable, easy read. And very funny in parts.
My one gripe, and it's very small, was that she mentioned 'drugstores' - we don't call them that in Australia. But maybe I had an Americanised ebook version? ...more

What if your young son was accused of bullying? Would you agree or not? Life at kindergarten and a high priced school, is told through 3 women's perspectives. I enjoyed this book and didn't see the twist.

Big Little Lies centers on an Australian elementary school where a “Trivia Night” ends in death and eight people may hold the answers to what happened and why. The novel revolves primarily around three Australian women. Madeline is happily married, a gregarious woman who loves to stir up drama and is the glue that holds together the three-way friendship. Jane is a single mother who is extremely shy and who harbors a secret about the conception of her son, Ziggy. Finally, beautiful and always per

As was The Husband's Secret, this was a good book. It took a little getting used to the format, but I enjoyed it. I really liked that it was different, in that you knew a crime occurred, but you didn't know who the victim was nor the perpetrator. I spent then last 1/3 of the book trying to guess. I would recommend this book to other readers.

This borders on a five star book for me. Definitely 4 1/2. Great format in that you don't know who the book is about until the last few (of 80 something!) chapters. I can't remember ever reading a book like that. This is the second book I have read by Liane Moriarty and I will definitely be looking for more of her writing! I listened to the audio version, read by Caroline Lee who also read The Husband's Secret. She did a great job with both books.

This wasn't bad, it was just a little drawn out. I didn't find the characters to be super interesting and that made it even harder to keep reading. I will definitely read more by the author, but this one just didn't live up to the hype for me. ...more
