No comments on the feminist arguments some reviewers put out. Just enjoy a good story.
This was an enjoyable YA fantasy read. Emphasis on young because it seems more age appropriate than something’s labeled YA now compared to several years ago when this first published.
World building is good but skims the surface of what the world could be if geared to an older audience. Solid, easy to read and captivating writing that will keep you reading.

I remember being so interested in the premise of this book a few years back but boy did it fall flat.. There was nothing but like literally nothing new in here (maybe besides the graces but that wasn't really prominent in the book anyway..). I just couldn't care about the characters or anything, found it so boring, it had a very generic YA fantasy plot with an insta-love and I don't like either of those things so yeah.

I have mixed feelings about this one. This was a super cool concept and had some interesting things to say about how we perceive ourselves and others, but the plot was tepid and I honestly did not care about the romance at all.
