Even though I've read this suspenseful thriller before, I was immediately caught up in the story...again. Clark always is able to grab me right from the first page--I don't know how she does it. I become involved with the characters and their story before really getting to know them well. In this case, however, we revisit with Alvirah and Willy, two of my favorite ongoing characters.
