I thought this was just about perfect! What a great coming of age story. It was the perfect amount of silliness and seriousness. It was a great YA story that had kids being kids instead acting way too old for their age.
I hated that the story had to end but had such a good time while I had Simon and Blue and the rest of the gang with me.
I'll definitely read the next book. I'd love to see these characters again.

I am firmly in the middle on this book. There were definitely some problematic areas and passages, but I did like the overall story and the romance.
The characters were both my favorite and least favorite parts of this. I really loved Abby and Blue; they were such great characters who felt real. I did not like Leah at all. I didn't like immaturity of the characters in this book. The way no one was ever honest with Leah about why they were a bit annoyed with her really bothered me. I un ...more

I started the book because I really wanted to see the movie. And as usual, the book was much better than the movie (although the movie is still very good and worth seeing). I understand this is a "young adult" book and can therefore turn off a lot of people. And I admit, the first couple chapters I did feel like I was reading a teenager's book.
