#1 in the Winter chick-lit series

Very nice holiday book. Hilderbrand builds such an interesting set of characters, and she does it so well that you feel like part of the family before you know it. Even when I found the characters frustrating in their bad decisions, I rooted for them and cared for them. Kelly is the ultimate patriarch, warm owner of a B&B on Nantucket, loving father to 4 grown children, generous, and friendly. I enjoyed the family story. I happily read...until the end. then I was "like what, where is the ending?: It left a few loose ends, begging for a sequel to find out just what happens after the book ends.

I will read the rest of her books, hopefully this is the only non finished book. The others I've read ended where 'they were supposed to" not leaving questions after the book was closed. ...more
