What Members Thought

I'm shaking as I wrap up the last page of this book. A gripping story, and the contextual knowledge of being a Singaporean making this all the more relatable.

I enjoyed this book greatly - for its rich characters, their reflections and feelings about progress/stagnation in Singapore. Some books leave you thinking that a character or an event was the villain who should be held responsible, but this book doesn’t, and leaves you reflecting if anyone could be blamed for the events that unfolded. Highly recommended read for anyone who has briefly ventured into the realm of Singapore’s from Third World to First narratives.
