What Members Thought

Two or three years later, and I still remember a lot and I still love it the same. This is one of the first book that had a great impact on me. It is a story I will always love and turn to. Some prefer Jane Austen's popular novels, but I prefer "Jane Eyre" and the Bronte sisters in general. Although, I do admit "Wuthering Heights" is too depressing for me. And I have yet to read "Agnes Grey" and "Shirley", but I liked both "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall" and "Villette", the former more than the la

A new all time favorite. I loved this novel. Jane is such a strong and levelheaded character. She stands for her beliefs in God and her values. There is some mystery, horror and romance so it satisfies on many levels. The long journey Jane takes through the novel is met with a somewhat happy ending that leaves the reader feeling appeased. The language wasn't that difficult to read through either. It flowed and didn't have a heavy amount of vocabulary that was new or confusing. Great book!
