I really enjoyed The Hunger Games trilogy and the movies (read the books first!). I did not like The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes enough to finish it. In this prequel to The Hunger Games the reader learns about a teenage Coriolanus Snow's (the future President Snow) first mentoring experience in the 10th Hunger Games. the first half was good and then all of a sudden snow was really unlikeable. not that great kind of a letdown
