Various thoughts (spoilers ahead but I'm not hiding it because that annoys me ok):
1. I love Jane. Jane is so resilient and strong and smart and I wish I had been more like her during difficult times in my life and just in general. She's way cool.
2. Her cousin is awful. What is it with cousins in classics? THEY'RE AWFUL. Oh well.

Jane is terrible at noticing red flags. Pilot is the best man in this
This has actually been on my to-read lost for a long time. I expected to get through it faster because I read mansfield park in high school and this is in a similar time period and writing style. As I have figured, it takes me a while to get through the first half of the classics that I have read and this was no different. By the end of it, I was surprised at how invested I was. The turning point for me was when Jane got a job outside of the school. After that, the story was much easier to diges
