Margaret Atwood is an absolutely astonishing writer. Her rich, languishing, poetic voice drips through each paragraph. She is incredible at giving pause to tiny, beautiful things within the depths of the anguish of this story, and in doing so makes it so big. Such a love letter to the mind.

Well, I just finished it and I have to say this. For a book that was assigned to me, this was pretty good. Having no quotation marks was definitely a bother but I got over it. Hated the ending though. I hate not knowing. But I did enjoy the way she described things without plainly saying what it was, like the playboy bunny. My first Margaret Atwood book and I'm not disappointed. I wanted to read the book before watching the Hulu series and I can definitely see how the book makes for a great tv series.
