Jan 11th 2012: I cannot review this yet. The heartbreak is too fresh. But this book is beautiful. It is perfection. This book slayed me. Oh John Green, you clever, clever soul. Hazel is glorious. Augustus is just the right amount of real and swoon. I want Issac to be my best friend. && I want to meet each character in this book and hug them.
Well done, John Green. Well done.
Well done, John Green. Well done.

I use the word "lovely" a great deal in my reviews lately but this one was just that, lovely. Bittersweet and angsty, at times, but that made me like it that much more. Regardless of this being labeled YA it's a tremendous book. For me this was a meditation on life and love. I've spent a lot of time thinking about death since 1999, and I liked that this was a love story, too.

This book will BREAK your heart. This is a promise I can make to you. However, it is still wonderful and true. It's like life, you will laugh when you least expect it and cry in the next moment. The Fault in Our Stars was worth the wait and the excitement.
