I'm definitely hooked. This book isn't anything other than world building and introduction, but I know people are obsessed with this series for a reason and I can't wait to continue it.

I liked how fast paced and easy to get through this was. I did get wore out on the run on sentences. I also felt like a lot of the FMC’s relationships felt forced and unnatural. I’m not sure I will continue the series or not. I don’t feel super passionate to which tells me maybe I shouldn’t, but overall it wasn’t a complete waste. I enjoyed the concept of the book and I’m assuming this was a major set up for the series. I could see how people would enjoy it.

I can’t even decide how I actually feel about this book. The plot and base of this story has SO much potential and can be really intriguing but some aspects just fell flat for me.

Like she only actually loves him because she hasn’t had physical touch before but they really don’t know much about each other and have never spoken before the cell. E ...more

This was not for me, but now that I’ve started the series I’ll now feel obligated to finish it.
Not at all a fan of this writing style. Also listened to this one on audio. This noise kept happening that I thought was a typewriter or something but turns out it was actually the sound of someone crossing out a line of words. Sentences were so repetitive it was painful and I literally felt like the entire book was overflowing with metaphors and similes, most of which didn’t make any sense at all. I d ...more
