The last few chapters of this book took a turn I was not expecting. I’m glad it picked up because I was a little worried there for a while. I am looking forward to continuing the series. Hopefully, it will not disappoint.

THE PLOT TWISTS?? GOT ME MUNCHING ON MY CEREAL!!! IX'S TITS!!! (I'm keeping that expression)

This book was overhyped by booktok and left me slightly disappointed. Although I won't deny the plot was interesting, it felt a bit boring to read. It started to pick up more in the second half of the book, but then went back to its tired pace. The small twist did get my attention, and I do feel like I will read the next book. Sadly, the only characters I actually felt a connection with were Mische, Vincent, Ibrihim, and Jesmine. I didn't care much for Oraya or Raihn. Basically, this b
