“People see what they wish to see. And in most cases, what they are told that they see.”
This book has been on my TBR for a very long time and I've finally decided to give it a go. Well, Night Circus really took me on a magical ride, but sadly it didn't meet my very high expectations. It might've ended up in my favorites shelf, if I had read this a decade ago. Just because it didn't fully meet my expectations it doesn't mean I didn't love ...more

There really isn't much that I can say about this book because I loved it so much. Everything about it. The only thing that I found tricky was keeping track of the ever changing dates that started each chapter and sometimes jumped around but...that's more of a me issue than anything. The romance was sweet and I liked that it took its time, and the setting....wow. Just wow. Every scene in the circus made me feel like I ...more

Note: I only read 20% of this book before jumping ship. Review based on first 20%.
I've had this book on my TBR shelf for a few years now. I mean, how could I not want to read it? It's about a circus (yay!) at night (double yay!) and magicians (triple yay!) and maybe even carnies (quadruple and quintuple yay!!!). You get the picture. Plus, everyone and their mom loved this book. It was everywhere.

I was just the other week telling the world that I wanted more books with cinnamon-roll protagonists rather than kick-ass snarky brutal protagonists, and even though no one specifically brought up The Night Circus, I happened to start reading it soon after. And it is just what I needed! It is not a weird, tough, creepy type of circus like we've all seen before. Not at all. It is, as its name implies, a circus of dreams, where actual magic users manipulate (unknown to most of the rest of the worl

"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices on downtown posts and billboards, no mentions or advertisements in local newspapers. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. But it is not open for business. Not just yet. And the black painted sign painted in white letters that hangs upon the gates, the one that reads: Opens at Nightfall Closes at Dawn. "What kind of circus is only open at night?" people ask. No one has a proper answer, yet as dusk approac

I loved this book. Reading this book was like reading a dream it was very dream like and exploring the circus was awsome i loved all the charictures in this book but my fave was Bailey as he is your guide to the circus and introduces you to the circus. I loved celia and Marco but I didnt quite get the challange. it was a fantastic read and i give 5 out of 5 I hope this Author brings out more books like this becuase i loved it.

This book is absolutely wonderful. I love books that have to do with a circus, but really this book was so much more. At the beginning I found it kind of hard to keep up with the switching between years, dates, and places and just generally how it was written. But, about half way through I found it easier to follow along. This book is beautifully written and insanely captivating!
