An Abundance of Katherines was a descent read. At moments it was hilarious and at others somewhat obnoxious. Nonetheless, despite the books predictability, I really loved Collin's epiphany moment at the end. All he wants is to matter, and feels that in order to do it he must be a genius. When being someone that matters and fame were connected in the beginning I thought, "No that can't be right. You can still matter to a small amount of people." I went back-and-forth a lot between liking and disliking the characters in this book. They each had their own little quirks that made them unique but, at times, frustrating. I kept going to the friend who loaned me the book saying, "Why did he do this? Why doesn't she act this way?" She just smiled at me every time and told me to keep reading. Reading this book has been like going on a roadtrip heading to nowhere in particular.
Like, you happily keep driving and driving even though you know it's pointless and a waste of time.

And yep, that's how i felt about An Abundance of Kathrines, despite the poor characters and vain plot, i delightfully couldn't stop reading..

It's also that kind of book which doesn't end at the final page. if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I believe John Green is a genius no matter what! <3 ...more
