I FINALLY read an Austen novel! In my 28 years of life I haven't actually read any of Jane's books! I have seen every adaptation in video form so this feels like a big deal to me! I loved it! Might have to give more of them a try!

It's not hard for a fan of humor to appreciate Jane Austen. She's truly funny, in a dry and subtle way, and comes across as exceedingly intelligent too. I wish I could have her over for dinner.

it was... okay.
I liked a couple of characters and it's drama-free.
The whole story and plot strongly reminded me of North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell so Persuasion was no special book for me at all.

one of the hardest books I’ve ever attempted to read. Perhaps it’s the edition I purchased but nothing made sense.

The begining was a bit hard, but I ended loving it. Great book!
