A couple YA blogs I read kept raving about how great this book is, so I figured I'd check it out. I'm only about a quarter of the way in now, so no proper review yet, just first impressions. I was a little leery of the concept as I tend to dislike sci-fi that whacks you on the head with symbolism, and this one's about as subtle as Britney with an umbrella (people getting mandatory plastic surgery so they all look like real-life anime characters, and then living a life full of partying and bad fa ...more
