This is one of those weirdly perfect stories were nothing really happens and yet everything happens. There was much of a setting and over half of the book is told between emails, but it was delicious. Thats the only word I can think of to describe the adorable that was this book. What is it about Rainbow Rowells writing that makes you fall in love which each and every character. This plot was so character driven it was ridiculous. I picked this up at 7pm and finished it at 11:48pm.

Finally a book I could not put down. Twice I found myself waking up in the middle of the night to read read read. Read this for ginger scraps book club. This is the first of Rainbow Rowells books. Plan to read her other books.

I’ve pushed myself to read this the last few days and could only get 40 pages in before I started skimming instead. After another 40 pages I couldn’t do it anymore and had to DNF it. I did flip to the end to see what happened and I now know I made the right choice. I wanted to read Rainbow Rowell one more time to see if my opinion had changed and nope, it did not. I can confidently say her writing style isn’t for me. I don’t find it witty, charming, or funny and I am finally accepting that fact.

Really I want to rate this one 4.5 out of 5. I really enjoyed it! I particularly loved how she wrote it showing the male character being the one falling in love. It's definitely not common for authors to do it this way. The ending was a lil cheesy for me but all in all I really liked it. ...more
