Occasionally you really want to read a book because of all the media and press around it and then you read it and you wonder what all the fuss was about. This is one of these books.

It's not a bad book. I enjoyed it. It's fun and done in an interesting format. (But how any of these guys who were in rock bands is still alive is beyond me!) But it doesn't hit me like it seemed to hit a lot of people.

I was hooked from the very beginning. The whole concept of a rock documentary worked. It was a seamless read, and the unveiling at the end?? GOOD BYE!
I might’ve found my new favorite author.

Couldn't take a break. Fantastic story of a fictional band and their personal highs and lows, their own band saga through first personal commentary and vignettes told to an unknown (throught most of story) interviewer. An amazing retrospective from each persons point of view from their early beginnings, their talents, their baggage, their struggles, and how it moved and collided together to propell them into a famous band and then aftermath of their actions. ...more

I'm glad I finally read this book, it is amazing! It's written in a way that makes you think you're reading about a real band and real people but the catch is.... This is a fictional band. I loved all the details and all the characters. There were so many twists and unexpected turns. I smiled through a lot of this, got mad, got sad and that's one thing that made me love this book and I highly recommend it! ...more
