This novel was originally released in 1992, but I purchased the book by Crossroad Press (October 10, 2022). It was originally published by Berkley Books but was significantly altered by pulling the original prologue for being “too strong” and scenes (plural) censored. I enjoyed the psychological luring of the cult but found it overall too repetitive to move it up to 4 stars.
