2007. that was my first attempt at reading this book. years later I got the audio book and got more than halfway through and put it on pause. after making it a buddy read I was able to finish in less than a week! I will applaud the way the author described everything in gruesome detail. I'll be continuing this series.

I really enjoyed the first half of this against the titular "Clickers" but the last half of the book featuring the "dark ones" was a bit of a let down. It's been some years since I read this one and back then I would have been full of praise for it but have since read far more engrossing stories from J.F. Gonzalez who really has an eye for plotting and character dramas. It doesn't help that I was quite busy in real life and this failed to engross me really. I will probably read another in the se
