you know what - thank god that is over. and that makes me so sad to say because i really wanted to love this (folk of air triology is one of my FAVS) but this just didn't hit. the plot - especially the ending - felt like i had read it before in the folk of air, and the characters all felt like copy and pastes from the other books. especially wren. she felt like jude in a different font yk?
will still be reading the next book tho ...more

This was entertaining but not as much as the Cruel Prince. The characters weren't really that interesting and I was a little bit bored at some points .
Wren and Oak felt like a weaker versions of Jude and Cardan for me and Oak's hooves didn't help making him a charming sexy character (Not every male lead need to be Cardan). The plot was engaging but also predictable. My favorite chapters were the flashbacks to their childhood .

I got to like 50% of this book it got a bit of a tad slow burn.. yet again.. it does kinda grip you in some ways as you want to know more about the story what ...more
