Attractive murderers were always good kissers
Mmmmm...the writing style continues to irk me, and I think it's the casual tone clashing with the whimsical fairytale world that the book is set. I can't quite put my finger on it.
I do really like how we get more of the world of Rennedawn and its lore. But it felt very chaotic. There were just too many subplots being highlighted at the same time.
Also, I'm not typically a huge fan of multi-POV narratives, especially when they span multiple characters ...more

This book was fun read but was slight disappointed with the slow burn of this book with the amount of hype this book had and had my expectations set for this as I remembered i overalled enjoyed the first book!
I did like Evie though in this book in rough situations she does own the challenge in hand trying to learn what her powers are in the process which is really cool.
Trystan is a real quirky guy I loved his banter and dark si ...more
