This is very good HIGH FANTASY with steampunk elements. I liked the steam-men race, I liked the distopic government of the Jakals with their breeding pens for royalty and cutting the king's arms off when he takes the thrown, to show he no longer has any power. It also had the obligatory dirigibles.
