(Also to give my two cents on this, I didn't think anything about the book— except for the dreadlocks comment, which Novik apologized for and removed from future printings—is a ‘racist steadfast’. You're just looking for bones in an egg.)

ANYWAYS back to me rambling about the book. I knew I was either gonna love it or hate it, given that it is Naomi Novik. So glad it's the former though. This is the first 4 Star I've had in ages.

DISAPPOINTMENT 😕
HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT ☹️ .

** I started this book because I loved Uprooted so much and I wanted to read more of NAOMI NOVIK but, unlike Uprooted, Deadly Education was so terrible that I'm doubting whether it was written by a totally different author 🤨.

To comprehend required more effort than usual. The overall information, great but may need a little simplification or just illustration added would benefit all. In conclusion, it was around 4.75 stars but rounded to the nearest integer would be 5 so there it is! Cannot wait to buy the next book! My favourites shelve on my bookshelf is starting to overflow-
