Better than the first, and the first book was great! I devoured this second book faster than any other I’ve probably read.

Loved it more than the first book!
4.5 stars. Book 1 was 5 stars. This one had much less poetry in it, which I missed, but the storytelling was wonderful. The stories wound together in this one and the 2nd love story was amazing - totally unexpected. Lots of twists and turns, no dull parts - I feel like Gillig doesn't waste time with filler (I think Deborah Harkness sometimes does this). I just loved that the story kept moving along. Her books are a joy.
