The redemption arc this book had for me is crazy, this was a 1 star read until this reread. Honestly, just knowing what I know about how the series unfolds, this book was way more interesting to me the 2nd time around. All the pieces were being set into place from early on in this book, and for some reason I needed that information from KoA in order to find myself enjoying ToG.

2nd times the charm, reading the novellas really helped. Didn't get a lot of feelings or emotions from Celeana so it took a while to warm upto her. I felt there were a lot of possible plot lines which went nowhere which was frustrating. But I'm eager to continue the series!! ...more

objectively I think this is the worst book in the tog series bc of how much celaena comes off as a pick-me spoiled brat. she doesn't have the depth she has in later books. also there was this one line where Dorian was watching her eat and he thought (this is a direct quote) "there was something girlish about her, too. Oh he couldn't stand her contradictions." like ofc an 18 year old girl is going to be girlish. and the line about celaenas breasts being "once well formed, now the same size they w ...more

Que locura de libro. Lo AMÉ. Realmente me mantuvo pegada al borde de la silla y Celaena no podía ser mejor protagonista para esta libro. Estoy muy feliz de empezar esta saga.
