I liked this novel. The teenaged sleuth is serious, not foolishly caught up in intrigue for implausible reasons. Although in Eric Wilson’s first book Tom taunted train passengers, he is usually respectful and compassionate. This amplifies in “The Kootenay Kidnapper” and “Cold Midnight In Vieux Québec”.
