‘Mainstream’ doesn’t mean mediocre. I’m invested. Each mystery is outstandingly creative. The ‘cozy’ label does fit tempered sex (if any) and no active violence. However, the logistics of murder(s) discussed later are gross. This resumption of Lilian’s work has a tone matching the reason she cited for stopping: a trend in violence.
