Good story. A bit dreamy in places that seemed to leave the story but soon it made it's way back.

We need ten star grades. Half stars do not equal them. I bestowed five stars throughout this superior series but far preferred some stories. They all attain a level of quality that less favoured content or writing did not subtract. The atmosphere of volume 1 was enchanting and suspenseful throughout. Not knowing or loving anyone, except Blue’s Mom and Richard, was offset by wondrous discovery and awe.

Nov 2019: I alternately listened & read a copy from the library. I had forgotten how dense this story is and how much is going on in it. And I still love it!
Jan 2016: prepping for "Raven King" by listening to this again; still love!
