I've had this book on my Kindle for several years now. I have no idea why I didn't read it as soon as it was downloaded or shortly thereafter. And I claim to be a big fan of Amy Harmon's writing. This story was beautifully told. I loved Ambrose, Fern and Bailey. They absolutely stole my heart. The friendship between Fern and her cousin, Bailey, was perhaps the most touching standout. What an amazingly beautiful book! I loved the outlook of inner beauty vs outer beauty! The writing was excellent making this book by far one of my new faves!
Just WOW. I can`t say anything else and have it make sense. I just loved these characters and every single thing about this book. I want to reread it next week when I can be uninterrupted, then I will highlight the many beautiful profound scenes so I can remember them correctly. Gah! I just wanted to hold them all.
