This is the second book in the Underground Kings series. They can be read as standalones, but the two books are entwined and overlap some.

This is a great read and a great series. It's a series I will continue to read.

This is Kai and Myla's story.

We met Kai in Assumption. He is a huge Hawaiian man. I was curious about him in the first book, and so glad he got his story told.

Shelves: erotic, audio, in-series-or-trilogy

Myla and Kai's relationship starts off as a cover to keep her safe. At some point along the way they decide to see if they can make it work between them.

The chemistry between them is immediate, and when they come together it is some of the hottest scenes I have ever read.

This book was almost a 5 star for me, except it took me a while to warm up to Kai. Once I got some of the story from his pov, I was a goner. He is an alpha to the core. I also had a hard time coming to terms with Myla, suppose ...more
