Wow. So…this was not a book for me. It wasn’t all bad. I didn’t hate it, but there were things about it that I really didn’t like.

I won’t give any spoilers away but I’ll say that the prologue was a real doozy. It totally wasn’t expected and it really made me want to give up right then and there. The one thing that kept me going (initially) was finding out the age difference between Becca and Puck. I was bound and determined to find out the age difference! I didn’t actually find out until much l Wow. So…this was not a book for me. It wasn’t all bad. I didn’t hate it, but there were things about it that I really didn’t like.

For the most part, the story wasn’t awful. The circumstances that led to Becca and Puck meeting were awful, but years later, I was into their story. Unfortunately, the way Becca acted and treated Puck, really tanked this book for me.

Every time I turned around, Becca and Puck were fighting. That wasn’t an issue…my issue was the fact that Becca would throw things in Puck’s face, calling him names and trying to make him feel bad all because he was speaking the truth and telling her things she didn’t want to hear/face. I just got so frustrated with Becca that I kept hoping Puck would wise up and find someone else. At one point, Puck’s friend even called her on her crap, saying that he deserved someone better…and I agreed. At that point, I didn’t care if she got her HEA. Even after she and Puck moved pasted that particular issue, and things looked like they might start being good, she went right back to her old standby of being a bitch and lashing out at Puck when he didn’t deserve it.

Puck was by far the best part of this book. Yes, the events of the prologue were awful but I didn’t blame Puck. Yes, he should have gotten more information before events started unfolding but at the same time, he was set up by that bastard Teeny. Pardon my tangent but I really HATED Teeny and the fact that he survived the prologue. And I wasn’t satisfied with the way he was taken out of commission later in the book. Anyway, back to Puck…he was alpha and when once he decided what he wanted, he went after it. He was also uber protective and just all around awesome. He actually kind of reminded me of my all-time favorite book boyfriend…Nero. I really wish that Puck had ended up with a better woman.

Overall…this was not my favorite book and as much as I liked Puck, he’s not enough to ever make me want to reread this.

Charming Bastard Novella: We Meet Bonnie and Darcy in this story, they have been best friends since they where little and there is more than friendship on both sides they just don't know it yet he has always liked her and will there be fireworks, there is heartache though on graduation night when he takes her but the tragedy will that bring them together or tear them apart? Go reaad and see where it all began for them and if things work out for them.

Silver Bastard is the first book in Joanna Wylde’s Silver Valley series, which is a spinoff of the Reapers series. It looks to me as though there will be crossover between characters and storylines from the various motorcycle clubs, but this book still reads perfectly well as a standalone – though I suspect if you enjoyed this, you’ll be checking out the other books anyway.

I received this one as a first read. This one was an interesting experience for me . I really found myself at times liking the characters and in the next few pages not liking them. I definitely had a problem with Becca and her ways. However the plot was a good read. I think if you enjoy this type of romance you will enjoy this book.

This book was so good!! I love her books and they just keep getting better and better!!! Both Puck and Becca came from a tough life but it made them stronger together. The epilogue made me so happy!!
