**Re-Read**
So, I totally dug Hop but just could not with Lainie this go round. She didn't drive me crazy or anything, I just felt like she was bland.
Tyra, well, I don't know what to think about her sometimes.
I'm glad I did the re-read refresher so I can finally get to finishing this series though.
At the end of the day, again, I couldn't put it down. KA is magic even if I don't love the book.

Kristen Ashley is my go to author. That being said sometimes things get to be a bit wordy. That was the problem for me here. I found my self skimming, not over pages, but words or sentences just to get to the point.
As for the characters, I loved Hopper Kincaid. I wasn't sure that I was initially, especially after getting him from Tyra's pov in another book and then when he was watching Lanie walk toward him at the compound before the proposition. I thought why is this the guy chosen for Lanie, ...more

Yeah. I don't know what to say except it was another freaking awesome KA read. I wasn't too into Hop before the book but I couldn't NOT read it! Good Lord he's almost as hot as Tack. Lanie and the 'monster' inside her broke my heart... So angsty and good.
"I AM your goddamned shield." So many bad-ass but heartfelt and sexy quotes I should have highlighted as I read.
I'll re-read this one and OTW for sure. Can't wait for whatever is next in this series! ...more

review to come!

I actually read this very shortly after it was released... I don`t know why I did not review it then! Ooops! I just know I ended up loving it as much as OTW. Hop was so Damn hot... and tried to be patient with Lanie. Gotta reread this now because I can`t remember details but I think he was a great dad too. Sexy! ;)
