4.5 Stars. I loved this book. Truly. Two beefs I have. The two main characters Inner voices sound alike. And the author doesn't use contractions naturally. My brain had to get rubbery to read it. As in "she is mine" as opposed to "she's mine".

This book was interesting. I’ve really been craving friends-to-lovers stories, so I just couldn’t resist this book. The premise sounded good… guy protects his sister’s best friend from her abusive father and falls for her in the process. And it takes place in Michigan…the state where I live. So, that should make things even more interesting. Well, I must admit, the fact that Rowan gets a scholarship to Michigan State University lost it a few points…seeing as it’s my alma mater’s rival. 3 1/2 - 4 stars.

HOT! But for some reason I didn't really connect with the characters. Just felt like one sexual encounter after another. Eventually it got old.
