This book…it started out rough for me. Not because Logan aka High was a jerk (although he was) but because Millie was acting like a tstl idiot. I kept questioning why she was doing what she was doing and how she could be so stupid! And yes, Logan was a huge jerk with how he treated her. I was questioning how anyone would want to be into him.

But then something interesting happened…Millie and Logan had a fight, pictures from their past were thrown away and I LOVED his reaction, how it hit him in This book…it started out rough for me. Not because Logan aka High was a jerk (although he was) but because Millie was acting like a tstl idiot. I kept questioning why she was doing what she was doing and how she could be so stupid! And yes, Logan was a huge jerk with how he treated her. I was questioning how anyone would want to be into him.

But then something interesting happened…Millie and Logan had a fight, pictures from their past were thrown away and I LOVED his reaction, how it hit him in the gut and it hurt. That brought on the feels for me. He was finally feeling something beyond anger (but yes, that was still there) and something finally broke through his barrier. There were some other incidents that were awful, but oh so great too. One was the FUBAR moment at the bar/club where Hop was a royal SOB…I loved Millie’s break down and her friend’s subsequent freak out at how Chaos used her to hurt Millie. And of course, how Logan reacted. As horrible as it sounds, I loved his reaction and that it finally opened his eyes. I also loved that Millie FINALLY made him see that she wasn’t playing games with him. The game was all him.

The third part I loved was when Millie’s secret finally came out. I’d guessed it pretty early on so I wasn’t surprised by it but I didn’t expect how it was revealed. I actually loved the scene because of how she revealed it and the other drama that was going on at that time.

But honestly, this book also had issues for me. As enjoyable as KA’s books can be, I also hate how the women give in immediately to the guy. They need to grow a backbone and not let them steamroll over them. Millie did have somewhat of a backbone, which was nice, but she still gave in way too soon on many occasions.

My other issue was some things with Millie in the story. I follow the author on FB and as I was reading, I started noticing some parallels between Millie and the author’s posts about her life on FB. I just couldn’t shake the feeling that this book may have been (at least) partially autobiographical. It was distracting to me because I kept wondering what else might have been about the author.

Overall, there were parts I liked, parts that really gave me the feels...but this wasn't my favorite book. ...more

I love Ashley’s biker boys; they are rough, tough and full of love when the right woman comes around.

Every time a Kristen Ashley book is released it’s like Christmas for me, I swear each book on her series just gets better and better. Walk Through Fire is the 4th installment of her Chaos series, and I felt had the most emotional and holy moly moments so far. I love Ashley’s biker boys; they are rough, tough and full of love when the right woman comes around.

Walk Through Fire follows Millie Cross, she met the love of her life Logan “Low” when they were young and wild. Logan was apart of Chaos and they all became like a second family to her. But when she received news that would drastically effect Logans future, she couldn’t bare to see it hurt him, so she walked away from the best thing she had. Years later she comes face to face with Logan, now known as High and things are strained and full of tension. She is determined to tell him the truth but High wants nothing but vengeance after he felt she betrayed him. But everything changes when he finds out the truth about Millie’s sacrifice and there may not be a way to mend their ties.

Millie is extremely different from the other girls that we have met in Chaos, she had already known Chaos when she was younger. Now after many years when she walks back into Logans life and Chaos, there is a ton of angst and confusion. Millie has made a life for herself but its almost like she’s an empty shell, its really sad and breaks my heart hearing about what she has gone through. Her first encounter with Logan is intense, hot and angry, I was not happy with how he treated her and when the readers discover why Millie left him all those years ago, it’s the most intense scene I’ve read in this series. I get why Millie did what she did, and also see why she didn’t tell Logan, he was deep in love and would of done anything.

Logan “High” is an intense and heartbroken guy, after the love of his life left, he changed a bit. But he met someone who gave him two beautiful girls, whom he loves dearly. His ex is actually a really awesome person, she knows High loves Millie, she knows that what they had was more for their girls than love, and they both respect each other extremely. Logan and Millie have some intense scenes, so much angst, love, loss, and on his side vengeance. He has a lot to make up for when he finds out Millies secret, as well as Chaos.

Overall this was a fantastic continuation of this series, I’m always curious about each guy and what they go through to find their happiness. All the past couples are back, of course the ladies sticking their noses in High and Millies business causes some massive tension and blow ups. The villain is one that is continued from the previous books, and I can tell is getting ready to do something extremely bad. I cant wait for more of this series, it just keeps getting better and better.

I want to start by saying that I love Kristen Ashley. I have made it my mission to read every book that she has written and has yet to write.

That being said, this book wasn't my fave. I understand loving someone so much that it's hard to move on from that love, but to basically give up on that part of your life? No.

Millie and High were apart longer than they were together, and Millie just became a shell of herself and didn't even try to move on with her life. This made me not like her as much a ...more

Yep. I still love the way this woman writes. The long seperation and the reason bothered me a bit, but I just had to see how they got it back. Bossy alpha...Millie's heartbreak... meddling Chaos wives... the serious discussion and declarations while Logan is right in her face... the ex- wife that was actually cool... and of course the smoking love scenes... and even the Benito issue - and having to work to get one of his daughters to like her...gorgeous epilogue... all added up to a great read t ...more
