Nice, but not very distinctive. Tempted to dnf at the 25% point but at least I finished and popped my Blakely cherry.

Cute. It didn't blow me away but I was entertained. Enough to keep reading this "series".

I do have a thing for stories that put us in the boys head.

I have a terrible aversion to reading any books that are connected with other books out of order. These are called "standalones" but I wouldn't classify them that way. There are a lot of connections going on and I think I need to go back and actually start with this series Seductive Nights series if I plan to read all these books.

Okay, this is one HOT book! And I did finish in in one sitting. But... (does there have to be a but?)...

The thing is, I did not like the MC. He just really pissed me off. Maybe guys that not only think with their dick, but constantly think about their dick, praise their dick, and idolize it do that to me.

Still, Ms Blakely does get full props for great sex scenes.

I loved this book. Spencer is so confident, cocky and self-assured. Plus, really who can go wrong with a friends to lovers romance when it is done right.

Spencer is need of a fake fiancee, so he asks his best friend and business partner Charlotte, to him with this. They've done it before right, why not now.

Charlotte agrees and things take a turn even before either one of them wants to admit it. Practice kissing? Yeah, that's what they called it.

This was a fun, quick read. There were a few issues, but I enjoyed it overall.

What I Liked:
- Spencer. He's kind of molded in the player trope, but I was surprised that he never came off as a huge douche. Even before the big reveal, he always seemed respectful of women.
- Banter. Got some good banter here. Always important.
- Chemistry. I liked the build up and I liked how tentative both sides were.
- Little drama. This is actually a plus for me in this case (though I do at times love the drama). Th ...more
