Much better writing/editing than in the first book. Colin is deeply closeted and his internalized homophobia is incredibly toxic to those around him, but I actually feel like there is character growth and change in this book. Rafe's sobriety is well-handled and Rafe and Colin's shared mentorship of the queer kids they work with is great. (view spoiler)

Great series!!! Even though I hated Colin in the first book in this one you understand him and why he was the way. I really felt bad for him. Rafe was awesome just like Rex was from the first book. Dan and Colin are really sweet men who couldn't be themselves growing up.
