It’s July folks; it’s almost time for Ravensong and I needed a refresher.
So yeah, I went to read my review to get a feel for the book again and I didn’t write one.
I didn’t know why.
I do now.
This book, well, it’s all candy canes and pinecones and epic and awesome and what else can I possibly say that that statement doesn’t?
Nothing.
I obviously didn’t know what to say then and I don’t know what to say now.
There are some amazing reviews out there, I just don’t have it in me to give you o ...more

What a unique and beautiful story. I was taken in by all of the various aspects of love you see throughout the novel: maternal, paternal, sibling, friendship, and romantic.
I had never read a PNR/shifter book before, but if they are all like this, I have been missing out. :-) I have never wanted to be part of a pack so much in my life.

Rarely have I come across a book that made me cry, laugh and then cry again in the same paragraph but this one did. I fell in love with Ox as he went through life not knowing how special he was to everyone around him. He was the glue that held everyone together. Joe was a young damage Alpha in the making. He had been abused and broken. He met Ox and that meeting set the stage of young Joe being put back together. The story was about redemption, love and family. I think though it was mostly about

I never know what to expect when venturing into someone's paranormal world, not matter if its shifters, vampires, etc.. Luckily this one didn't disappoint.
I liked that the story was more about Ox and his coming of age and knowledge, than it was about the shifters. He didn't even learn of their true nature until a good deal of the way into the book, but what he knew about them he loved, because they accepted him and then his mother into their family with no hesitatio ...more

Epic story full of feels
I loved this book, so much. Still unsure why i hesitated so long before i read it. Reading it was the best decision ever.
MC Ox is such a complex character. I loved how he may not have understood everything as it happened to him but he still grew so much. He never forgot his father and his hurtful words but he proved them wrong. His growing relationship with the Bennett pack was so beautiful. Learning about them, about love, about loss, about life. He grew so much in this ...more
