I jumped into this book not knowing too much about it, and I was sucked into the story from the very beginning.
Jase joined the military when he was very young and after he was rejected by his very straight best friend, Matt. It touches on subjects that I wouldn't normally seek to read about . (view spoiler)
But in the context of the story , they were relevant and added elements helping to understand the characters motivations .

Wow what an amazingly awesome start to a new series, and a new author to boot. I love both Chris & Jase. My heart absolutely broke when we learned about Chris's life, I wanted to bundle him up & hold him and make all of his past hurts go away. Since I'm not able to do that I am glad that he has Jase to love him and show him that he is worth the world. Chris has lead a horrible life thinking that all he is good for is sex.
