Holy Joseph and Mary… this book…. IT JUST BLEW ME AWAY!! As of now, this is my FAVORITE book of the year! Hands down! I was so on the edge of my seat. Total nail biting, frantically reading as fast as I can because I was addicted. I was a crack addict and Born Sinners was my crack!! SL Jennings goes back to her roots of writing paranormal romance, can I get an AMEN for that! I first fell in love with her writing with the Dark Light Series and this book just took me to another place. A place of f Holy Joseph and Mary… this book…. IT JUST BLEW ME AWAY!! As of now, this is my FAVORITE book of the year! Hands down! I was so on the edge of my seat. Total nail biting, frantically reading as fast as I can because I was addicted. This is a huge huge huge 5 star read and I would highly recommend it! Even if you normally don’t read paranormal, give it a shot. You just might surprise yourself!

Eden has always been able to twist the freewill of others. She discovered at a young age if she spoken to them and gave them a direction, they followed it. At times it was playful, maybe having someone trip over their own feet, having someone spill coffee on themselves, but she also knew she could cause harm if someone wasn’t so nice to her. Her Mother was convinced she was the spawn of the devil and tried to drown her at five years old. She was then put in foster care where she bounced from home to home never belonging.

For the past couple of years she’s been terrorized by a dream. She has same reoccurring dream over and over. She wakes every time trashing and screaming for help. She has mixed emotions of being turned on beyond belief but also a feeling of dread and terror. What she doesn’t know is she has been marked by evil.

“I always screen for him. I always beg for more and more. He pummels my insides until my flesh is inflamed and sore, yet I don’t want him to stop. It’s as if I yearn for the cruelty. I know it’s wrong, but some part of me-something sick and twisted and depraved-feels like its right. Like his brand of wicked calls to me.” -Eden

L or otherwise known as Legion is the head of the Se7en. They are demons on earth that protect the balance of good and evil. They know of humans who are “called” to preform acts of violence but when they get word of one that has been marked they discover she is something more. She is different than the others that have been called upon in the past. They must protect her at all costs. But when the Se7en bring in Eden for her protection, L and Eden get more than they both expected.

L vows to protect Eden even if it means death. She struggles with feeling worthy of such loyalty. She would rather give her life and end all the madness than let the leader of the Se7en sacrifice his. The sexual chemistry between L and Eden is also crazy! It’s off the charts smoking hot, but with that, they act like they almost hate each other.

“I knew that I would die for you. So please… live for me.” L

L must get Eden to see her value in life. She continually feels like her life is worthless, in reality she is powerful and is key piece in keeping the peace between the realms. If she was called, it would be hell on earth. They must find a way to stop Eden from being called. With that they recruit the help of a certain warlock that has ruined me forever.

Can the Se7en stop Eden from being called before it’s too late? As the attraction between Eden and L straightens, how will it affect dynamic of the group? Loyalties are tested, secrets and lies are exposed and one will make the ultimate sacrifice. You will need to read Born Sinners to find out who!!!

WOW!!! That book sure took me out of my book slump. However, I should have checked around before I started because this book has one hell of a cliffhanger. I need the next book now !!
